Respirators, and other medical items, can be decontaminated safely using a hot air sterilisation cycle appropriate to the material of the item and reprocessed to be used again, to combat the shortages across the board for common items.
Memmert, according to their local regulations from the Ministry of Health and processes used in hospitals, recommend a dry heat sterilisation cycle of 70°C for 30 minutes.
Memmert sterilisers are able to perform these sterilisation cycles, and any other sterilisation programs used in specific applications (under the maximum temperature of 250°C) via the user friendly TwinDISPLAY controller and AtmoCONTROL software which come as standard with the unit.
In the Memmert hot-air steriliser, the SetpointWAIT function ensures that the program is only continued when the setpoint temperature has been reached.
